The Hills Long Day Preschool is an accredited child care centre and is licenced to care for up to 39 children per day from 3 to 6 years of age (Children need to turn 3 years of age by the 31st January for beginning of year enrolment).

Morning and Afternoon Tea are provided by the Preschool and we ask that you pack a nutritious lunch.

The Preschool operates between the hours of 7:45am - 5:45pm, Monday to Friday, approximately 49 weeks of the year, closing three weeks at Christmas time.

This Hills Long Day Preschool is family owned by Donna Thurbon and her husband Dennis. Donna opened the doors on the 24ᵗʰ October 1994. Being a Licensee, Donna works closely alongside our team and oversees the running of our centre with the guidance of our Director Jayne Pearce. Jayne has been with our centre since 1999. Throughout the Preschools operation we have always employed more qualified staff than the regulations demand in order to provide the best possible care for the children and families.

We offer access to My Family Lounge, an online facility to keep up to date with what your child is doing, including observations by staff, learning stories with lots of photos and our centre newsletters. These online facilities can be accessed either by way of a web browser or an App.

Our Centre

Everyone has personal beliefs but common ground needs to be found in order to provide a high level of care in an atmosphere which is loving, caring and educational. Therefore staff, no matter what qualification or experience they hold work as team members to ensure that each child’s individual needs are catered for.

Our Program

We aim to ensure that each child will be safe and secure in an environment which is caring. Whilst doing so, an educational program which is based on the children’s levels of development, needs and interests is implemented within routine tasks on a daily basis. The centre is also designed to be an extension of the home atmosphere.
